Hey everyone! I *officially* start grad school at NYU today!
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what’s going to happen. Grad school is a busy time, but it’s also a time where I’m exposed to all sorts of new ideas. A period where my worldview expands. It’s possible that I’ll disappear for months as I frantically learn how to report. Or maybe my mind will be so full that I need an outlet like my newsletter to process everything, in which case things will be business as usual.
Either way, I’ll keep an eye on my schedule this month, but at this point, I can’t promise anything. Only that I will talk to you all again in the near or distant future :)
In the meantime, here are a few other ways you can keep up with my work/evolution.
Instagram & Facebook - I still plan on being decently active on social media, so keep an eye out on my regular online channels for bird sightings, fun things, and cool announcements.
Twitter - now that I’m “technically” a journalist, I plan on being more active on Twitter (the go-to platform for people in this field). This, I imagine, will become my main hub for things like new articles I’ve written, amazing things written by other people, cool science, general thoughts, etc. So if you don’t follow me there, my handle is @alicesun_nature.
My website - if you don’t have social media, I will also be posting updates and new work on my website homepage!
Scienceline - a bit of a shameless plug, but our grad program has its very own publication! My articles from class will probably appear on here from time to time.
Newsletter archive - I was reading through some of my older newsletters/blogs the other day and was mildly impressed with my past self. So if you’re missing my self-help content, feel free to revisit them (I recommend this blog and this blog!).
Of course you can also reach out to me through email or direct message if you want to have a chat :)
Thank you all for sticking around! Excited for this next chapter in my life.
